Video: How Spray Foam Increases Structural Integrity

Thanks to its firming, closed structure, high-density spray foam insulation can actually reinforce exterior walls when sprayed in stud cavities, increasing structural stability by up to 300%. Cool, huh?

This is particularly important in regions where winds are particularly forceful (Wyoming, we're looking at you!), as high winds can actually distort interior framing through what building scientists call "shearing force."

When a wall is reinforced with spray foam, it becomes more rigid and better able to withstand shearing and compression during a wind storm. Observe it in action right here:

As you can see, not only does spray foam provide added insulation and improve indoor air quality, it also increases wind uplift resistance, increasing structural integrity in even the most extreme weather conditions.
